Wong Keen Artists
Born in 1942, Wong Keen talent was apparent, trained by Both Liu Kang and Chen Wen His, he was the youngest select exhibitor for the open exhibition of the Singapore Art Society when he was 16 and did his first solo when he was 19. In 1961, he enrolled in the prestigious Art Student league of New York. It is here that he develop his practice as an abstract artist. He accorded both the Ford foundation tuition scholarship and the Edware G. Mcdowell scholarship which allows one his studies in Europe His work has a composition that uniquely depicts western individualism and Asian tradition, this makes it refreshing for Asian and mysterious for the western audience, combined this with abstraction, flow and bright colours brings up a uniquely Wong Keen style.
