Ang Ah Tee Artists
Born in Singapore in 1943 and graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1962, Ang was mentored by the pioneer artists Cheong Soo Pieng and Georgette Chen Ang is known for his abstract and landscape acrylic paintings of a highly distinctive style in landscape painting. His most renowned works include "Kashmir" (1994), "Shanghai" (1994) and "First Day of Summer" (1996). Ang was recipient of the National Day Art Exhibition Award in 1978 and in 2001, and was conferred the Cultural Medallion by the Singapore Government in 2009.
